The 3rd Annual FINAL FRAME Horror Short Film Competition

StokerCon, Providence, Rhode Island – March 1st – 4th, 2018


The Horror Writers Association is proud to announce the third annual short film competition held in conjunction with StokerCon 2018, held at the fabled Biltmore Hotel, in Providence, Rhode Island on March 1st through March 4th, 2018. Final Frame celebrates the darkest, weirdest and fantastic short horror films from around the globe.

Select films from the entries will be screened on Friday, March 2nd, 2018. A grand prize winner will be announced at the film competition’s cocktail reception once the screening is complete. The Final Frame Award and $1000 cash prize will be awarded to one film and one filmmaker as decided by our panel of judges.

We’re proud to announce the judges for the 2018 Final Frame Competition: producer Craig Engler (Z NATION), author Grady Hendrix (Paperbacks From Hell, My Best Friend’s Exorcism), writer/editor Michael Gingold (Fangoria, Rue Morgue), filmmaker Lynne Hansen (Chomp), Lisa Morton (screenwriter/associate producer of Meet the Hollowheads), and noted FX specialist Mike McCarty (KNB, Autonomous FX).

Grand prize is $1,000 and additional prizes will be announced prior to the competition.

Submissions are now closed!
